Sarah was absolutely the best nurse I have ever had. Because of my past issues, some healthcare professionals judge me, whether they realize it or not. When I told Sarah, her response was "who am I to judge your past choices. I am here to take care of you and get you better. We all make mistakes and today, tomorrow is what you should focus on". I was crying and ready to leave AMA until divine intervention sent Sarah into my life. She was born to be a nurse. She has a pure, good heart. She always has a smile, and never once did she make me feel like she didn't want to be there. She even helped me cope with fears I had of leaving and going to a rehabilitation center. I don't know how she maintains her positive attitude while always maintaining her wonderful work ethic. Sarah absolutely made the right decision in becoming a nurse. She is the reason this DAISY Award is given to the very special who go above and beyond and deserve it. Thank you, Sarah. You are an amazing nurse.
