I was going through excruciating pain, on top of a last-minute hospital stay that was taking a toll on me, not only physically but mentally. When Sarah came in to introduce herself, she not only assessed me physically, but she was also quick to realize the emotional toll I was under. Without hesitation, she showed compassion. Not only did she start taking care of me professionally, by administering antibiotics, pain medication, checking vitals, and redoing an IV due to a blown vein, she dealt with me as a friend. She dealt with me with compassion and understanding through conversation, consistently assuring me that I was safer, well-taken care of, and that she was a safe person to talk to.

There was never a time that she went missing, as every time I woke up in pain, reaching for a hand, she was there. By far, hands down, she is one of the best, if not the best, nurses I’ve ever had! By how she cared for me, I know it helped me heal. It’s rare to come across a nurse with such passion. I could tell she genuinely cared for my well-being and that of all her fellow workers and other patients. Thank you, Sarah, for everything you’ve done during my stay. You’re amazing at what you do!
