On Saturday my mother in law was admitted to IMU for atrial fib. The hospitalist asked for a cardiac consult on Monday after her Saturday admission. When Sarah was assigned as my mother in law's nurse, she became aware that the cardiologist had not seen her yet. Sarah spoke with the hospitalist and a consult was requested for a different cardiologist who came to see her and scheduled a heart cath on Tuesday. It was determined that she had severe blockage of several arteries. She is now scheduled for coronary artery bypass graft later this week. Sarah has cared for my mother in law for three days and has been consistently thorough, kind and supportive. Because of Sarah's quick assessment of her patient, she was able to get the care none of us realized she desperately needed.

Sarah is very sweet and personal. She made us feel like more than patients. She shared in conversations and helped ease our pain with hugs as well. I've been in several hospitals and have experienced several nurses but the team here was a blessing. Sarah has always answered questions, offered assistance and has great hospitality; she has a warm and sweet personality. Sarah showed us and my family great dedicated and genuine support during this time.
