J's morning started off with him having breathing problems; Sarah was on top of it from the beginning to the end of her shift. Sarah was so caring; she would explain everything that was going on; explaining to J his meds, what each med he was taking and what they were for, to make him get better. Even when J got upset because he couldn't breathe well, she would listen to him and talk to him and he would calm down. At 2:00 AM, I had to leave for awhile, J got worse and was getting very anxious. Bless Sarah's heart, she came in the room and stayed with him while doing her job making calls to RT and taking care of her other patients. When I came in she was in the room with J. He did not want her to leave him. He said to me "what am I going to do without Sarah?" I explained to him that he will have a good nurse tonight. After she clocked out she came back and told J that it was a pleasure having him as her patient and assured him that he will be alright. She gave me a hug and wished us the best.
