I arrived here at Encompass for acute rehab after having spent 35 days at UCLA Medical Center, where I was placed on ECMO that saved my life. My first official day here was quite the eye-opening experience. My first day of occupational therapy had me taking a shower, which I hadn’t taken in 35 days, and thank you for that! They then had me perform physical therapy, which was exhausting, but it gave me proof that I was in the best place possible for my physical rehabilitation. The 12 days I have spent here at Encompass have been great. All the nurses, physical therapy staff, and occupational therapy staff have been great. I wanted to recognize Sarah for the outstanding service that she provides to your patients here. She is amazingly caring, understanding, and truly an asset to your company. I was very lucky to have her as my nurse; she aided my recovery and helped me get home, and I can never thank Sarah enough. I’m sure there are quite a few great nurses on staff, but I wanted to recognize Sarah as an outstanding human being who did exactly what she was meant to do in life.
