Sarah was my son's nurse following his first seizure ever. My son has multiple seizures in a row and was flown to this hospital. She was the night nurse and she was exceptional. She was kind-hearted and showed such patience. My son has some side effect to Keppra and exhibited what they call "Keppra Krazzies" this was new to me. She was there for me through all the screaming and crying. She offered my son Tylenol and something for his tummy. The crying lasted hours and she kept coming back with a kind smile to offer support. She also offered to hold my son so I could take a quick breather. This meant the world to me. My son eventually threw up milk everywhere due to how upset he made himself. She was there to clean it up with a kind smile. She went as far as to say, "Can I please at least help you wipe off the milk chunks that landed on your foot," and helped clean me up while I held my son. She was calm, not frustrated or in a rush to leave my side the whole time and I didn't feel judged to have this kid who was acting out. She truly is an inspiration to me as I am new to BayCare as a nurse. This nurse is BayCare, all the excellence we strive to be. I will forever remember her and thank her for the support.
