I am a 15-year-old who had an Appendectomy after being in the hospital for hours; I got discharged and ended up having complications. When I first came back after I was discharged, Sarah Taft welcomed us with a lot of love, and she made me laugh even when I felt horrible. She always puts a smile on my face and is always interested in a patient’s life. She lets me talk to her about my boyfriend and friends. She always lightens my mood, and I get super excited when I find out I have Sarah. She is considerate and she always asks if we need anything. She will go on short walks with me, assure me when I have a fever, and make sure no one is being mean. Sometimes, when she is not my nurse but is working, she checks in on me just to show she cares. Sarah really cares about her patients, which is shown when she interacts with them. She constantly reminds me to drink water and eat, and when they have to run tests, she assures me that they will be good and I will be going home soon. I have been here for a week already, and Sarah is my absolute favorite part of this hospital. She is a wonderful nurse!
