Sarah was my son's outpatient orthopedic navigator when he had ACL surgery at WRMC in July. This was our first experience with WRMC and the first time we had a nurse navigator. What a wonderful experience. Sarah did a wonderful job of walking us through the process of the surgery. What to expect, things we would need to do and signs to watch for. We never felt rushed or like we were being pushed along so she could move onto the next patient. She was always helpful, friendly, and informative. Sarah listened, showed concern, and compassion to my son's (and our) concerns and followed up with us during his stay and after we went home.
When we called Sarah a few times post-surgery with concerns or questions it was always easy to reach her. She did an excellent job of listening and following up with us. My son was having calf pain and was concerned about a possible blood clot. Sarah talked through his concerns, suggested follow up care options and stayed in contact with us until his concerns were addressed. We really appreciated her help through this process.
