Sarin Hubanks, RN

My mother-in-law was a patient of Sarin's and was terminal. We were not part of hospice but were familiar with the program and knew pastor "M," who had been very helpful with another family member's passing. Mom had developed a bond with Pastor "M." Mom's passing had progressed faster than we had expected, and we did not have time to sign up for hospice as planned. She really wanted to see Pastor "M," and we were discussing this wish in the hallway with family, but no one knew how to contact him. We didn't even know Pastor "M's" last name.
Sarin had overheard this conversation and reached out to the hospice agency. Later that day, she told us that she was able to reach out to hospice and that Pastor "M" was on his way to spend some time with Mom and the family. Sarin went out of her way during a busy shift to make sure that her patient was cared for physically and spiritually. Being able to give our mom her last wish was so comforting to the family. Sarin and the whole team were amazing. She was able to say goodbye to her dog, Pastor "M," and so many family and friends. We are so thankful for these last few days with Mom.
