Sarina has provided outstanding care for my husband for the past 5 days he has been at WCGH. Her sense of humor, kindness, patience, and compassion has helped him immensely.
She has made special protein shakes for him to encourage him to eat, and has tended to his every need. She has also done whatever she could for his daughter and me while we were visiting.
Because of this personal level of care, I have been unafraid to take more hours away from the hospital which has given me some much-needed respite care that I did not get in the first four weeks of his illness.
Sarina's sole focus has been on making my husband as comfortable as possible and keeping his spirits up, which is so important with his stage four lung cancer diagnosis.
I thank God every day that there are nurses like Sarina who provide such wonderful care for our loved ones. They are truly angels and we are blessed that he has had Sarina to care for him.
She could have been "on-call" for the Memorial Day holiday, but instead, she chose to work so she would be with us through the end of his stay. I was so impressed with that.
