My daughter F came to Montefiore to have her seizures monitored for two days. While I say that all of the nurses were very nice, Sasha stood out. She was very attentive and made our first night so comfortable. Sasha was very accommodating with all of our needs and made us feel at home. Sasha provided extraordinary care for the 2 nights we were there.
The first night Sasha provided menus for us to order food from and when I had to leave my daughter to get the food, my daughter became very fearful. Sasha stepped in with compassion and assertiveness which eased my daughter. She reassured my daughter that I will be back and she would be ok and safe.
The second night Sasha came in to check on us and she immediately asked us how we were. She asked my daughter us she behaved well for mommy today. My daughter answered, "A little bit but, I missed you all day!" Sasha sat and talked with us and my daughter told her all about herself and her sister. Sasha was extremely engaging. Sasha was professional in all interactions and mindful of all of her patients. Sasha made us feel special every time she came in to see us. Sasha came in to say good night and my daughter told her she is going to miss her. F wanted to give her a hug. Sasha introduced her to virtual hugs and sent her to bed. It was so nice to have a "warm" interaction amidst COVID-19.
