The ED was boarding an elderly MS status patient who ended up being transferred to hospice care per family wishes. The patient was actively dying and needed an IP hospice bed ASAP. Sasha accepted the patient under her care (voluntarily) so that the patient could have a more peaceful environment (other than the ED). This was commendable on Sasha's part because she was quite busy with her charge RN duties and in addition to her own patient assignment; she wanted this patient to have the proper end of life care. Her kind, caring attitude is to be recognized as demonstrating Ascension values in caring for our vulnerable patients.
