There isn't just one situation where Saundra Van Cleave demonstrated the characteristics of a DAISY Nominee, she does all of them all the time. She's the most compassionate, friendly, understanding, and caring nurses I have ever met. She always treated me like a family member and always has a smile on her face no matter what kind of day she is having. I am from out of town and there were days I was feeling homesick or was just having a bad day and she always had time to listen and understand no matter how busy she was.
Saundra was always comforting and always knew how to brighten up my day. She always went above and beyond to make sure my needs were met and was very knowledgeable about questions that I had along with dealing with undesirable situations very professionally. I can't think of another more deserving nurse than her. She was like a mom and a friend as well as a nurse. What a wonderful role model.
