Nursing is hard work and exhausting, but Savannah handled everything like a champ, always smiling, and was willing to go above and beyond for us.
My daughter came into the hospital for dehydration and high sodium levels. Savannah was one of our nurses, and she was fantastic. She was attentive, compassionate, intelligent, and a big advocate for my daughter.
My daughter has CP and special needs. She does not heal or respond like others with normal/traditional health care and Savannah recognized that right away. She was in our room continuously throughout the day, giving the best care. She kept me informed of every step, order, test, and results. She took her time and listened to our needs and concerns, which is hard in these times of healthcare.
Nursing is hard work and exhausting, but Savannah handled everything like a champ, always smiling, and was willing to go above and beyond for us. Not everyone has the patience to take care of sick people, especially non-verbal, but she was amazing with my daughter. I have been a nurse for many years, and with my daughter, we’ve been through over 50 hospital stays, so I understand the challenges of the daily care a nurse gives. Sometimes nurses have to question what is going on with patient care, and that is hard, but that is the difference between a regular nurse and an exceptional nurse, like Savannah.
She made sure everything that was going on was safe and comfortable for my daughter. She made sure we were moving in the right direction of healing. I don’t believe we would have started the correct healing process without her.
Savannah is a true asset to your hospital. She sure made our stay more tolerable. We need more nurses like Savannah in this world!
Thank you, Savannah!
