Luda and Savannah ended up replacing the rosary with a new, beautiful set which she took home with her.
Luda and Savannah cared for my 98-year-old grandmother, M, who was diagnosed with COVID-19 upon arrival to Aurora BayCare Medical Center after suffering a stroke. Luda and Savannah's patience and kindness towards my grandma, and the extended family, provided us with peace of mind that was in the most caring hands during her stay, especially considering the level of isolation related to COVID.
A couple of examples of the high-quality care these wonderful nurses displayed include: My grandma had a rosary bead that was misplaced during her stay at the hospital. Because Luda and Savannah took time to get to know my grandma, they came to understand how important religion was to her. They went above and beyond to try and locate the missing rosary which, unfortunately, was unsuccessful. However, they did not stop there; Luda and Savannah ended up replacing the rosary with a new, beautiful set which she took home with her.
We knew M was cared for by nurses who saw her as someone's grandmother, mother, sister, daughter, and great-grandmother; she was more than a patient to them. My grandma passed away. The last few weeks of her life were not how anyone would have anticipated, but these two nurses stood out in their honest, caring, and kind touch which left a lasting impact on my grandmother and the entire family.
