During my stay here at Rex UNC I had the privilege of having Savanah as my nurse. She made me feel that she was focused on my care and comfort during my hospital stay. My surgery went well, however, post-surgery I began to have issues with nausea, pain, and vomiting that was relentless. Savannah began to work with me to try to manage the issue and prevent further unnecessary pain. She responded quickly as I became worse. She spoke with other nurses, health staff and doctor’s surgical team. As well as did her research to find a combination of meds that would alleviate my issues. I felt Savannah gave me excellent care even while taking care of her other patients. She was very personable and exhibited a level of care that reflects positively on her profession. Being that she is relatively new to nursing says a lot about her abilities. She will only get better. She performed on a level that seasoned nurses with much more experience do. I appreciate all she did and am quite sure she is an asset to UNC Rex.
