Savannah came in every day with a smile on her face. She was extremely nice and always asked me how my night was. Well, it just so happened I had a rough night. Savannah took ownership for the overnight nursing staff who made mistakes and apologized on their behalf. She then went out of her way to ensure not only did we get pain back under control quickly, but she continued to check on me and sat and talked to me until I was feeling better. She also took ownership of the ongoing mistakes and got someone to fix the mistake right away. Savannah took time out of her busy day to walk with me so I could get exercise even though they seemed really swamped on the floor. She made me feel like the most important patient in the hospital. It is because of the nurses like this that make me feel better and make my stay tolerable. Savannah has a caring heart and truly represents in my mind what a nurse should be like. Truly caring for the patient not worried about money/shift change/etc. Savannah also would stay over when my medicines were done at shift change to ensure I was not late on my medicine. Savannah, thank you for being a one of a kind nurse and caring about your patients. You are an awesome nurse. Thank you.
