Savannah kept mom clean and comfortable. More importantly, she encouraged us (the kids) to have hope. Patiently, she explained the treatment, mom's progress, and requested care from the doctor. She thought about mom’s best interest rather than automatic responses; she took initiative to ask for treatments like nystatin, pneumatic leg cuffs in a larger size. For example, that she took the time to visit mom, after mom was transferred to another floor, speaks to her interest in the person and of the extra effort she puts into caring for those that cross her path. A wealth of information, Savannah patiently explained palliative care and went with us to visit about it. We learned about the L.T. care beds and monitors in the cardiac ward. I appreciate her for helping guide the family in our loved one’s care.
