Some may think a nurse's main role is to care for patients as they recover, but there are so many more facets of the nursing profession.
Savannah Pronovost took her responsibility as a nurse to the next level by developing our human trafficking policy to not only care for but protect and ensure the safety of our most vulnerable patients. Having keen knowledge about the characteristics of trafficking victims, Savannah recently helped a patient who required extra care, assistance, and protection.
"Savannah is an exceptionally caring nurse as evidenced by the lengths she went to protect the safety of this patient," her nominator wrote in a letter. "Savannah got this patient the care she needed and stayed several hours after her shift to ensure all loose ends were tied up. I heartily recommend Savannah for exhibiting the essential nursing characteristics of patient advocacy."

Thank you, Savannah, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
