Savannah Wood 2, RN

Savannah is in a role where she sometimes has to confront problems head on, even when the problems are difficult. Savannah handles these situations in such a respectful manner, maintaining dignity, respect, and confidentiality. She has stepped into this leadership role with both an open mind and open heart, quick to help anyone who is in need, and quick to handle any obstacle that keeps our units from functioning to the best of our ability. She makes her staff feel supported and backed in all situations. Savannah's most admirable quality is her heart. Her heart for her patients and her heart for her coworkers. She is quick to notice others for a job well done, including those in leadership roles above her. She leads with all of the attributes that Ascension stands for in the most admirable way. Savannah has been noticed to be in different areas of the hospital on multiple occasions, helping when things are busy, helping nurses with very sick patients, helping triage patients in the ER, helping get patients admitted to the floor/ICU, staying after work to make sure all is settled and her staff is okay before leaving to be home with her family. I hope that she can soon be recognized for all she truly does for our hospital. The example she is to us is one we can all strive to imitate.
