January 2026 Honoree
Sazia Bi, BSN, RN
After undergoing open-heart surgery, the first four days I spent in the hospital were the most difficult days of my life, as I was unable to move, breathe comfortably, or do anything on my own. During that time, the nurse was always by my side, encouraging and reassuring me that this was only a temporary phase and that I would soon regain my health and strength. Whenever I pressed the call bell, she would be there within seconds, offering help with calm and kindness, patiently supporting me despite my slow movements, with a constant smile on her face. Even at the end of her shift, she would inform me before leaving and reassure me that if anything happened, I should not hesitate to ask. She truly embodied dedication and sincerity in her work
Thank you, Sazia, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
