She truly ensures that the patients are going to have what they need, promotes teamwork in the unit, and shows amazing kindness to the patients and her teammates.
Schade is always helping other staff with labs, passing meds, cares for patients like they are her own family members. She is constantly asking other staff if they need help. She inspires me as a new nurse to be just like her. I enjoy working with her and can count on her to be there to help me when I need it. One night, we had to call a rapid on a patient right before the shift change, and Schade stayed late from work to help me with my 4 am labs for my other patients. I was very appreciative when I found out she completed my labs for me. I couldn’t have finished my work with a rapid going on in the other room. I believe Schade deserves the DAISY Award because she is always willing to help out other staff members, even if she is busy with her own patients. Schade will drop what she’s doing to help others, and that is what makes a good teammate in the nursing profession. Schade is an amazing person inside and out. She is an amazing nurse, team member, and friend. I enjoy working with her on the unit and would highly recommend her as my nurse. While working with Schade I can honestly say I’ve learned a lot from her and also have gained teamwork skills from working with her on night shift. She is a DAISY Nurse because her hard work and determination/ commitment to her staff and patients show in the nursing community. I just love working with her.
Nurse Manager addition: Schade has been an amazing addition to our team…since she became a part of our team the dynamics have changed in nothing but a positive way. She carries herself as a professional and always helps out her team, but most importantly, she cares about her patients. She is attentive, compassionate, and caring. She truly ensures that the patients are going to have what they need, promotes teamwork in the unit, and shows amazing kindness to the patients and her teammates. She has stepped into a leadership role shortly after joining us by becoming a charge nurse and a preceptor for the unit. She has been a key partner in building the night shift team and continues to assist in staff and unit development, education, and growth. We are very appreciative of Schade and the work she does, and we look forward to continuing to work with her!
