Schilana Lloyd, BSN, RN

I am nominating Ms. Lloyd for the DAISY Award due to all of her consistent hard work that has not gone unnoticed here in the Mental Health Department. Ms. Lloyd is always helpful no matter what the issue may be, and she always completes any task given in a timely manner while keeping a positive attitude. Just this past Friday, we had a Veteran come in needing assistance. The Veteran ended up stepping away and didn't return until closing time. Ms. Lloyd was willing to still see the Veteran and kept a positive attitude despite her having to work over her scheduled tour. She resolved the Veteran's issue and the Veteran left satisfied. Nurses, as such, deserve a reward daily for going above and beyond for our Veterans. My favorite quote is, "If you do what you love, you will never work a day in your life"! You can tell by Ms. Lloyd's work ethic that she truly does love what she does here at the VA, and she has become an inspiration to many.
