Scott Floyd
Scott Floyd is one of the most compassionate nursing students I’ve had the honor to work with. His work demonstrates a carefully curated approach to care that includes not only the patient but their families as he advocates for what is best for their care. One example of this was demonstrated with a patient he took care of in the clinical setting during his acute rotation who was involved in a complicated family situation. The care Scott exhibited and displayed to maintain this patient’s dignity was above and beyond what I expect and see as an undergraduate nursing faculty. He was able to build the trust and respect of the patient resulting in optimal care provided.
