I could tell the first time Scott was my nurse that this is a person who truly cares about my well being. He spoke kindly to me and was respectful. He listened to everything I said and if my pain got to be too much he would do something about it. He even once said, "I've got your back". And he absolutely did. He knew how much it hurt when my dressing was being changed so he was extra careful and gave me pain meds just before changing it so I would be more comfortable. He is caring and kind and would ask me if there was anything I needed. He never gave the impression that I was putting him out and gladly did anything I needed. He spoke to me with respect and continually told me what a good job I was doing. He was very supportive of my healing and encouraged me to do what I could for myself. He even washed my hair one day! I believe Scott Hopkins is definitely an extraordinary nurse! He came to wish me well the day before I left even though I wasn't his patient! That really made me smile.
