Mr. Scott Moore is a superb nurse with exceptional clinical skills and a compassionate can-do attitude that is unparalleled. He consistently goes above and beyond to deliver outstanding care to our veterans and exemplifies the definition of a team player.
***
Scott goes out of his way to ensure that patients feel cared for and understand their plan of care. He makes keen clinical assessments, which are invaluable to other members of the ED care team. However, what I most appreciate about Scott is his constant friendly and welcoming demeanor. It's an absolute pleasure working with someone as patient-focused as Scott.

When Scott first began working here as an overly qualified NA, he caught my attention early on because of his very bright and can-do personality; it lends very well to the craziness and frustrations of ED work. He is dedicated, attentive, always helpful, and incredibly professional. He always goes the extra mile and always does what is best for patients. Whether it is calling multiple sources to get the right supply item and even walking down to the ortho clinics to find finger traps. We're all lucky to have him on our team.

Scott prioritizes patient care and is willing to help out with any task. He frequently will perform tasks on patients that aren't even his if that patient's nurse is busy or not present at that moment. Scott is super professional and a pleasure to work with.

Scott is an exceptional RN! He not only has an invariably positive attitude regardless of how busy he is or how sick his patients are, but he is also an extraordinarily skilled and caring nurse. He time and again offers to help other RN's with their patients, a true team player. He is universally admired and appreciated by the ED Physicians as well as House staff, Nursing, and non-clinical staff, and most importantly our Veterans. It is always a joy to be on shift working with Scott. I cannot imagine a more worthy model for, or representative of, the values that The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses and The DAISY Foundation represent than our own Scott Moore, RN.

Scott models integrity, patient advocacy, and the kind of responsiveness to unexpected and demanding situations in the ED that help us deliver timely, patient-centered care. He routinely jumps in to assist in any situation where help might be needed. He consistently offers to help other staff members when they are busy and so often anticipates what the patient will need.
I have frequently seen him be the first to respond to patients requesting help and those who need immediate medical attention, even when he is not assigned to their care. Scott treats patients and staff with the utmost respect, and it is obvious that his sincere interest in serving our veterans helps put them at ease. On multiple occasions, I have been able to build a stronger therapeutic relationship with a patient who was initially unsure if they wanted to stay for treatment because Scott had already earned their trust. Scott is an exemplary nurse, and we are so grateful to have him as part of our ED team.

Scott is an enthusiastic and skilled nurse with great attention to patient care. He personifies excellent clinical care and demonstrates them with his actions every day. He is a dedicated team player.
Recently, I had a patient who needed a lab draw. Scott was on a break and completing paperwork. I asked him if he had seen the patient's nurse. He immediately volunteered to draw the patient's labs, helping out me, the other nurse, and the patient. He demonstrates efficiency and adaptability.
On a recent fast-track shift, our census was much higher than usual. Scott went into triage to expedite patient care. He took it upon himself to move patients to radiology whenever there was a delay in transport. He anticipated patient needs and did so with a smile and enthusiasm that the patients greatly appreciated. Because of Scott, the ER is able to provide better more expeditious care with an empathic touch. He has razor-sharp clinical acumen.
Scott was working in the triage area. A patient came in and looked acutely ill. Scott wasted no time. Within seconds he rushed the patient back to the emergency room for immediate resuscitation. The patient was eventually diagnosed with hyperkalemia >7 and necrotizing fasciitis. Scott's instincts kicked in before any of that data was available and he got the patient to the treatment he needed. These are just a few examples that come easily to mind of his clinical acumen.
Scott is, simply put, excellent.
