We had an elderly patient that had extensive neck surgery for cancer and his wife was diabetic and very dependent on her husband for assistance. She stayed with him in his room and the staff cared for both of them. They don’t have any family and when Scott realized the patient needed underwear, socks and pajama pants he went out and bought them for him. He did this without reimbursement or fanfare. Scott exemplifies the image of the Beaumont Nurse and is a true humanitarian.
