I am writing to nominate this employee, who is an extraordinary ER nurse at UMH, for the DAISY Award. My son recently arrived at the emergency room suffering from prolonged seizures, and his care was exceptional from start to finish. This nurse never left my son’s side, demonstrating a level of dedication and compassion that profoundly impacted us. Despite the challenges in placing multiple IVs due to difficult access, this nurse’s skill and perseverance ensured that my son received the treatment he needed without delay. His ability to stay calm under pressure was both reassuring and inspiring. He is the same hero, even working alongside him on a day-to-day basis. Throughout this stressful experience, this nurse took the time to clarify any confusion we had, ensuring we understood every step of the process. His clear communication and unwavering support made a significant difference during a frightening time for my family. He is not only a leader in the ER but also a true pillar of the UMH family. His professionalism, empathy, and expertise deserve recognition, and I cannot think of a more deserving recipient for this next DAISY Award.
