One nurse went above and beyond any medical professional, I met in my 44 years. His professionalism, compassion, and care contributed directly to my good health outcome despite serious complications I experienced. I just knew I wouldn't need an additional advocate with Mr. Silver as my nurse. He listened. I could see Mr. Silver pause and process what I was saying. It was incredibly reassuring. He is detail-oriented. He tracked and remembered my status and medication information and helped communicate details of my progress with my family in case they missed the physician rounds. He was proactive. Mr. Silver proactively came in and shared that the doctors had made some changes that might be uncomfortable but would improve my overall health. He set my expectations and walked me through his ideas to make this change as easy as possible. He was professional every second.
