Scott's care for my brother and family went above and beyond the medicine, and we were grateful to have had him with us during my brother's final days.
My 37-year-old brother was on comfort measures/end-of-life care and was transferred to this unit from the ICU. Scott was our nurse for three consecutive days. Not only did he provide compassionate and dignified care for my brother, but he was absolutely incredible to our family as we spent day and night in the hospital room. Scott gave us the space we needed to spend our remaining time with my brother, but he was also very attentive and on top of his care. Scott had coffee and snacks delivered to keep our energy up, provided us towels to shower, explained things to us as they were happening, and made additional recommendations to ensure he remained as comfortable as possible. Scott's care for my brother and family went above and beyond the medicine, and we were grateful to have had him with us during my brother's final days.
