As you know an ICU is a busy place with a great staff that focuses on 1 on 1 healing, comfort, and helping you to process and understand your status and healing goals. As a whole, all individuals who took care of me after my AAA Repair were the best human beings I’ve had the honor and privilege to meet! Now, for the Sean Gilbert RN story!

I met Sean when he came on shift one evening. He asked how I was, we talked about my procedure a bit, and recovery. We talked about chairs, constipation, etc. Then he moved different chairs into my room to try out while he explained the reasons why I needed to be sitting up more. He explained how using chairs will help me get past my bowel issues. Then he gave me kudos regarding my post-surgery status. He said everything looks great but I looked tired! I told him my one wish was for a good night’s rest. All of a sudden, after getting back in bed and receiving meds, it got quiet! Somehow this person found a way to give me the best night’s rest I could have ever wished for! Both nights he took care of me! After his inspiring ways, I knew I could do this! Thank you, Sean!
