Sean Lynch is very compassionate not only towards the patients but the staff as well. He often goes above and beyond in his servant-style leadership. He is humble and ready to help in every situation. As a leader, Sean has modeled excellence in raising up leaders and helping them grow through the power of encouragement. Sean’s talents in problem-solving lead to not only positive outcomes but also a positive work environment. When Sean becomes aware of an issue, he doesn’t leave it once he comes up with a solution. He makes the issue his own or has a leader own it until it is no longer a problem. Without Sean’s positive attitude and problem-solving mentality, many people at Baptist Beaches would not be the leaders they are today. These are just a few of his positive attributes and reasons why he is a DAISY Nurse Leader.

One reason I believe that Sean is a DAISY Nurse Leader is his overwhelming servant-leader attitude! This nurse never says no and has continually strived to help me work through issues while maintaining a positive outlook. He is always available and ready to help and has been a mentor for me which has helped solidify my leadership skills through the modeling of behaviors. He has supported me through many trials and tribulations while providing encouragement all the way through. For example, as a new leader, I have gone to him for guidance, and instead of giving me answers, he guides me to use my own resources to arrive at my own conclusions, which has tremendously helped grow me into the leader I am today. I am thankful to have him as a role model and I fully believe he deserves this award for all the reasons listed and for the continual examples he sets as a Leader.
