With tears welling in my eyes as I write this, on behalf of the entire family, we want to thank Seethumol, my son’s NICU nurse.  She was so kind, caring, and gentle with me and my son.

Having to leave your child at the hospital is a very unsettling feeling. My child was admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and the nurse who was taking care of my son was an Extraordinary Nurse. She was so kind to my child. She patiently explained and answered our concerns. My child described her as an Angel, and I totally agree with him—she was. She found me roaming around, struggling to have internet access because I wanted to call my husband for an urgent matter related to my son, but I couldn’t. Even though she didn't know why I wanted to call him, she offered her mobile.

One day, she found me on the ground floor with no connection in my mobile, and again, she offered her mobile so I could call my husband to discuss my son’s report about his condition. I will never forget her continuous help and support. I was really in a difficult situation when she offered me her mobile to call. She might not realize this, but she really made my day with her kindness.

Seethumol, you encompass everything it takes to be a nurse and so much more. It takes sympathy, empathy, and just outright being a beautiful human to be the nurse that you are. Thank you, with everything in me, for being you!
