As a nurse for 33 years, I have worked with many different nationalities and cultures. When I met Selvi at the beginning of December, she was very focused and had little to say. This wonderful amazing nurse showed me that there are still nurses out there that are truly genuine about taking care of patients and not all about the money. She touched me very deeply in an amazing spiritual and professional manner that words just cannot describe.
We talked about nursing and how important our patients are to us. Selvi shared a personal family story with me about her life. She was not only an amazing nurse but a woman with a great passion for what she does. She treats patients the way they should be treated, rich or poor, a medical professional or non-medical professional, and she does not judge. Prior to discharge, she asked permission to pray with us. I was very touched and moved by her prayer. I will never forget her kindness, gentleness, spirituality, and overall awareness. We need more medical professionals like her in this field.
