Sen is an international student, and she has had her own set of challenges. She has been at PLU for her BSN degree and her DNP. She has studied through power outages on campus. She’s volunteered with Special Olympics on campus as well, providing medical support and guidance to the athletes. She left her family in China while trying to pave the way for a better life and caring for others. Her inspiration was from a grandfather who passed from cardiac complications, and that is where her focus has been. She is very deserving of the DAISY Award!
