Ms. Senia is one of my excellent staff and also my charge nurse who has the capability of doing everything related to her work, a very punctual and dedicated staff in our department.
During the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, she was one of those who got infected and was expose many times to situations alike. With her acquired immunity I used to assign her many times in the isolation room with COVID-19 positive patients and she never complained about her assignment every time she will be exposed to a COVID-19 positive patient. By doing this selfless act, she shows concern with the welfare of her colleagues who were not exposed to the virus.
When she is around, she is very responsible for her task and never leaves unfinished work.
She shows compassion and concern to all the patients. Her behavior is very good and she has never had a misunderstanding with her colleagues.
Every task that I assign her she will gladly accept it as long as it is for the good of everyone.
I call her the multitask queen of my department. Senia is the UBC Chairman in our unit, ADA (nephrology data collection-MOH KPI) collection representative, CBAHI champion link nurse, documentation representative, PPE Champion, nursing research and evidence-based champion, RN ambassador, communication project committee member.
We had an irritated 5-year-old patient. She would bring burgers to calm the patient and chocolates so they could start the dialysis. The patient likes to eat patayir, before the procedure but when this cheese bread is provided he will allow himself with the procedure. Talking politely, not arguing, listening to their needs. She tries to meet the needs of every patient when possible. If the time comes that she does not have any money she politely explains that next time she will.
Senia is loved by the patients as well as the parents/watcher of them. She shows her genuine kindness to both patients/parents. She is a true DAISY Nurse.
