I received a transfer from ICU and Se'Quoia was with my patient all day. She came up with my patient when she transferred with my unit and made sure she was settled in and comfortable. She helped orient my patient to her new unit and was very helpful in the transfer process. She, in no way, had to come to my patient's new unit as she was assigned to ICU that day. She comforted my patient, did her transfer, then prayed with her at the bedside before leaving. I have not seen such compassion in a nursing student before. She truly cared for her patient and went above and beyond to provide excellent care and make a lasting connection with her patient.
