Serenity Kendall, LPN

Serenity is the best nurse I have ever had. After my major abdominal surgery, I was in so much pain and really suffering. She had so many patients but took an interest in my strange situation because I was already opiate-tolerant. The doctors had a hard time controlling my pain. 

Serenity showered me (not her job), talked to me about good books, did a leg massage on me, and spent so much time up during the night with me when I couldn't sleep because I was hurting so bad. 

She advocated for me to doctors. She encouraged me not to be ashamed of my past opiate use because of all the progress that I had made in my recovery period. I was so down and depressed about being hospitalized and hurting so badly. She really made my whole stay just by having her as my nurse for two nights. 

I will always be grateful to her for the difference she made in my life. She helped turn my mindset from “I can't do this” to “I'm strong enough to do this.” She's the best nurse I've ever had!
