Setareh is a tireless advocate for her patients and their families. Her focus is always on the family as a whole, understanding that those family dynamics play a major role for our little patient's health and their recovery. She is constantly concerned about whether she has done enough for her patients and families, when in reality, she continuously goes above and beyond. Her ability to provide discharge teaching to a family in a way that they individually can understand, is admirable. She provides ample opportunity for them to practice new skills and ask questions. This teaching and opportunity to practice is paramount to a family having confidence to care at home for their sick child. She is thorough in everything she does. When she is concerned about an issue she makes it her mission to seek out assistance to address the issue. She does this passionately and respectfully, with both families and the interdisciplinary team. She devotes herself wholeheartedly to her 4D teammates. She is an inspiration and embodies what it means to be a nurse who is focused on the best patient outcomes and understands that she can affect those outcomes directly. Families often comment on the care she provides and I wish I could recognize her more often. She makes a difference every day that she is here and is appreciated by the families and patients she cares for, as well as the 4D team who is fortunate to have her.
