DAISY TEAM ACHIEVEMENTS:
- Improved RN-to-patient ratio, which reflects quality outcomes; acuity board was created to improve the ratio.
- Decreased infection rate, especially HAI and CLABSI, even with 0 incidents.
- Created an Improvement Project to decrease PIV incidence by requisition arm board to - support IV line and ensure the availability of Tegaderm all times.
- Ensure essential supplies are available in the unit to ensure patient quality delivery care to all patients.
- Replaced all silicon SPO2 with new disposable SPO2 probe to prevent pressure injury
- Goggles are now being used and implemented for each staff handling patient on phototherapy to protect each staff safety.
- Rearrangement of the area store done and matching the items availability with min and max items.
- Providing small pillows for all patients to prevent pressure injury.
- Supports PICU during their crisis by sending staff to cover duties there.
- All staff are well-oriented with policies to ensure the quality of care is given for all patients.
