Mr. Shad has been an absolute light in this very dark week. I am a chronic illness and pain patient. I came into the ED on Monday and was admitted later that day.

Last night was my first night with Shad. It was also the most restful and happy/peaceful night I have had at a hospital in a very long time. He had the timeline for my meds down on pint! I was able to sleep because he came in and gave me my meds while I was sleeping (I asked him to do this) and when my oral meds came up, he would very gently wake me up and give them to me and make sure I got them down. I woke by the end of his shift and were able to sort of bond over a movie franchise.

He saw that I was struggling to be there at the hospital. Shad went above and beyond to make me feel at ease and comfortable. Not to mention I never had to use my call light once. He had my med regimen down and even made time to just check on me. As a "professional patient," Shad has been on the best nurses have had to date.
