Shahd is a remarkable nurse whose empathy and dedication have profoundly touched the lives of patients and their families. She always treats her patients with kindness and compassion, showing genuine concern for their emotional well-being. When we receive pediatric patients who are away from their parents, Shahd recognizes their anxiety and takes thoughtful steps to ease their stress.

She provides toys for the children, plays with them, tells them stories, and even offers USB drives filled with cartoons and children's songs to make them more comfortable in the unit. Shahd goes the extra mile by celebrating patients' birthdays and bringing gifts for them upon their discharge from the PICU.

Her compassion extends beyond her patients to include their families and caregivers. The children eagerly anticipate Shahd’s shifts, knowing they will be met with warmth and genuine care. She treats chronic patients with love, building strong bonds with them as they grow attached to her.
