Shakira Daniels, RN, works in the Emergency Department and was nominated by a grateful patient for providing comfort and compassion when the patient needed it most.
In a letter, the patient wrote "We are all called by God to lift each other up. Sometimes in our life, we run into people who show qualities from God. I have never felt more confident in anyone else's hands for my care than I did with her. I still cry and am doing alright now just thinking about how much love the nurse showed by comforting me, caring for me, having compassion for me, and making me feel my life was worth something. I praise God for this nurse and what she did for me."
