All of the nursing staff was exceptional, but the care and attention Shaine gave my mother was something very special. My mother passed at Hospice in St. Augustine the morning of July 20. She was in the oncology unit at Baptist downtown from July 10th to the 18th. As our options evaporated, Shaine's compassion and spirit helped to calm a nerve-wracking situation, and I believe she was instrumental in the sense of peace my mother acquired as she approached her final hours on this earth. Shaine saw the humanity in my mother and I'm eternally grateful for that.
