shamekia copeland, BSN, RN, CPAN

Shamekia Copeland is a phenomenal nurse. She is certified in her specialty (CPAN) and encourages her staff to do the same. When her unit needs assistance, Shamekia doesn't hesitate to step in and work in Preop or PACU. When staff is asking questions about patient care or what should be done, she will find the answer if she does not know. She is a very compassionate nurse and everyone knows that when she cares for our patients, they are in good hands.
She communicates and collaborates effectively with all departments to do what's best for all our patients. She worked hard to find additional resources and training for new and seasoned paranesthesia staff and has successfully done it. She has dedicated herself to CMHS for many years and we are very fortunate that she continues to do so.
Overall, I believe Shamekia is a great role model for all nurses.
