My husband and I would like to express our immense gratitude for the cutting edge, compassionate care that was given to our 4-year-old daughter during her hospitalization for repair of intestinal malrotation. The nursing care we received on the 6th floor was amazing! Everyone was very invested in her care and were very good at interacting with her. One nurse in particular, Shamini Ghay, went above and beyond for our daughter. She was able to anticipate her needs and was obviously a very skilled nurse who was adept at critical thinking. She also would pull in music therapy and child life as needed to help alleviate her anxiety. They got to know her so well and made her stay, which could have been so frightening, enjoyable. Thank you, Shamini. Thank you for taking care of our sweet, feisty 4-year-old when she needed you. Thank you for providing such excellent care in such a nurturing environment. You truly do think of the whole patient and have set the bar very high for patient care!
