I was hospitalized after colon cancer surgery for 14 days. I had an ileostomy that did not start working for 10 days. Shamira was my day nurse numerous times. She was the one that had the unpleasant job of putting the stomach drain down my nose. I was so uncomfortable most of my stay with various symptoms. I was to walk 3 times a day, there were days I did not walk because everyone was so busy. Shamira came in on her day off to check on me and walk me up and down the halls to help get my strength regained. She knew how hard it was for me to get my walking in. That is extraordinary care!
