Shamla Beegum

I am the mother of a 9-year-old boy who spent four months in 6C. My son was in a very critical condition, and our journey was filled with fear and worry. Yet, it was also filled with compassion and support that we will never forget.

Throughout this long period, the medical and nursing team were not just healthcare providers; they became like family to us. They treated my son with genuine care and kindness, speaking to him, encouraging him, and caring for him as if he were their own child. They saw him not just as a patient, but as a person deserving of dignity, love, and compassion.

I would especially like to recognize Nurse Shamla, who had a truly special impact on our journey. She consistently showed kindness, patience, and genuine care toward my son, and always gave us, as parents, a sense of comfort and reassurance whenever she was present. Her attention to detail, gentle words, and compassionate approach made a significant difference during our most difficult days.

During our hardest moments, the entire team eased our burden with kind words, warm smiles, and a comforting human presence that meant everything to us. Their care went far beyond medical treatment; it was deeply emotional and compassionate.

Today, my son's journey stands as a story of success, thanks to God and then to this incredible team who devoted themselves to his care throughout these four months.

Through this nomination, I would like to emphasize that selecting Shamla does not in any way diminish the efforts of the entire 6C team. Every member showed exceptional professionalism and compassion and truly deserves recognition.

I would also like to extend special thanks to the Nursing Manager for their leadership and continuous support throughout this journey.
