shana berger, RN BSN

Shana Berger RN BSN was selected as the DAISY Award Recipient because of her strong patient advocacy. She has been assertive in ensuring that patients are safe and protected from abuse or neglect in the home/residence setting. She shares her skills and patient advocacy with her nursing peers, physicians and other members of the health team, as well as, the nursing students she precepts.

She has been a resident in Truckee migrating from the Midwest. She is married and a proud mother of a little girl named Daisy (what a coincidence!). Shana graduated from Orvis School of Nursing. She has a background of both acute hospital experience and also clinic/ambulatory care experience. She has been at Tahoe Forest Hospital for four years doing direct patient care, precepting students and orienting new staff nurses.
