I go to the VA for all my healthcare. I have serious vascular and podiatry issues. This nurse's responsibilities extend to both of these departments. When I have immediate pains or concerns, I am fortunate enough that I can email this nurse, explain my symptoms and concerns, and know that they, in a very timely manner, will pass this information to the proper physician assistants, or doctors. This nurse will then email and advise of their professional actions to my needs, always assuring me that they, or another healthcare professional, will soon call and advise me accordingly. This nurse's unique skills at being able to do all of this within a minimum wait time is quite amazing. No nurse that I have ever known could ever compare to this one. All of the VA nurses are very good, but only this one possesses such a special gift. When you are in pain or scared, this dedication is priceless. I make a point of telling Shanae just how amazing they are and how much I appreciate all that they do for me.
